Month 2 – Sensing and Feeling through Movement

A healthy brain stimulates itself by active interaction with what it finds challenging and interesting in its environment.

– Jane Healy, Endangered Minds

Your baby now links up all forms of sensory information through her body movement. Two month-old babies can actively search out for what they will focus on, pay attention to, and interact with. Your baby’s expressive communication repertoire is expanding and social smiling is one of the interactive expressions of your budding two-month-old.
